Our May 4th, 2021 FUNdraiser was a big success! With attendees from all over the US and world - representing diverse leadership in government, education, the nonprofit and private sector - we celebrated youth voices and the powerful impact of participatory city planning with young people of all backgrounds. We are especially proud of our kid emcee team and youth speakers who inspired our guests to take action and support child-friendly cities!
Watch the event recording HERE and LEARN MORE about what the kids and Congressman had to say about the importance of including young people in government and equitable community development. |

Questions and Answers with Congressman Neguse

Q: Any advice on getting young children, your daughter's age, involved in the community?
A: It's never too early for kids to get involved in their community! I'd get them started early by bringing them along when you get involved yourself! Have them come with you when you do a phonebank or participate in a town-hall event, or bring them to a park cleanup or food drive. Growing Up Boulder also has some great resources for young children and fantastic programs to get them involved in the community...

Join our giving campaign and everyone who truly made a difference for our small, incredibly efficient nonprofit with a big impact. Your personal or corporate donation will:
- Integrate culturally-grounded learning in all of our engagements with young people; this is especially important, as more than 50% of the young people we serve identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, English Language Learners, unhoused, disabled, and/or underresourced.
- Create training modules so communities beyond Boulder can apply our time-tested model to become child-friendly communities with the goal of establishing Colorado as a model child-friendly state.
