Map Sponsorship Opportunities
Growing Up Boulder (GUB), Boulder’s non-profit child- and youth-friendly city initiative, produced the nation’s first printed, bilingual child-friendly city map in Spring 2019. We did so with almost 800 children and families, half of whom were from underrepresented populations. In May 2019, GUB published the first edition of the printed, bilingual, free map. In October 2019, we published the second edition of the printed map. In late spring of 2022, Growing Up Boulder in partnership with the Colorado Visitor Bureau released the fourth edition of the child-friendly city map. In May 2022, more than 30,000 child-friendly city maps have been printed and shared throughout the Boulder community as well as advertised statewide through the Colorado Parent Magazine.

“My family visited Thorne Nature's Sombrero Marsh Environmental Center for the first time this weekend because my daughter found it on the map and suggested it as a family activity."
--Father of a 4th grade student
"My 1st grade kid came out of school yesterday and was so excited to show me her child friendly map, ‘It’s a map for kids!!’ she told me. On the last day of school, this is what she specifically wanted to show me. It was a very nice moment. Thanks!"
-- Mother of a Crest View Elementary student
