About Beth Osnes and Rebekah Anderson

Picture
Beth Osnes is co-founder and co-director of Inside the Greenhouse, an initiative at the University of Colorado (CU) that inspires creative climate communication. She is an associate professor of Theatre and Environmental Studies at CU. She researches how to use theatre as a tool for women to empower their own voices for participation in their own sustainable development. She recently toured an original musical production Shine for youth engagement in city resilience planning to Boulder, New York City, New Orleans, London, and Malope (South Africa) in conjunction with the Rockefeller Foundation 100 Resilient Cities Initiative.

Rebekah Anderson is a former professional photographer in the Bay Area, now using photography as a tool for empowerment and engagement for communities in the Navajo Nation, Namibia, India, Nicaragua, and Boulder, Colorado.
*Growing Up Boulder (GUB) is Boulder's child-friendly city initiative. A formal partnership between the City of Boulder, Boulder Valley School District, and the University of Colorado, GUB became a nonprofit in spring 2021 under the fiscal sponsorship of the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center (CNDC). Since 2009, GUB has worked with over 7,500 children and youth on more than 100 projects.
