Growing Up Boulder 10 Year Retrospective Boulder Library Exhibit
Growing Up Boulder was featured in an exhibit at the main branch of The Boulder Public Library from August to October in 2019. This exhibit was in honor of Growing Up Boulder’s 10 year anniversary and gave a retrospective look at the work and influence our organization has had within the community. The exhibit outlined what it means to be a Child City Initiative and the principles of what Growing Up Boulder was founded on as well as gave a look into past and upcoming projects and their direct influence on the children and families of Boulder.
The projects featured ranged from creating new communication tools to better give a voice to everyone within a community such as Building Bridges, an engagement with elementary and middle school teachers and students that ascertained what communication strategies youth use and would like to use in order to listen and work together productively that GUB co-designed. Other projects mentioned were the plans of engagement for the East Boulder Sub-community plan and the new North Boulder Library branch among others.
