Casey Middle School, Leadership Class: GUB-Civic Area Curriculum

"The City as Play" Design Activity

"The City as Play" is a design activity inspired by James Rojas, an urban planner who strives to spark creativity by using everyday objects to discover design solutions. GUB worked with students on an aerial map using ordinary objects to allow the youth to generate design innovations for the civic area. Some of their ideas include public art, water cisterns, and an atrium space for the farmer's market. Click on the images below to see their work!
