Ponderosa Mobile Home Community

After the 2013 flood, the City of Boulder purchased the Ponderosa mobile home community in North Boulder, and will move forward with updating the infrastructure and site to support resiliency. As part of an ongoing series of engagements with the community to better understand the needs and desires for the future of Ponderosa, Growing Up Boulder held an engagement with the children and families in the community. Children and youth were invited to participate with their parents in a brainstorming and City as Play session held in February 2018. During these two activities, strong themes emerged surrounding green space, the nearby creek, community spaces, play spaces, safety, and adding new amenities.
