Chat with Council: Mental Health for Parents and Caregivers
On Thursday, May 28th, from 7:30 - 8:30pm the City of Boulder facilitated a Virtual Chat with Council to offer parents/caregivers and other community members the opportunity to ask Boulder City Council members questions or voice their perspective about how COVID is affecting them and their mental health, their family, and/or their community.
Boulder Voices for Children, Mental Health Partners, and Growing Up Boulder also participated to share their expertise on self-care, self-help, and wellness.
This session was bilingual and community members had the opportunity to participate in English or Spanish.
This initiative was aligned with national and global trends to offer more opportunities for young people to engage with leaders around the pandemic. Excellent examples include Rhode Island’s Governor Gina Raimondo, Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, and Norwegian Prime Minister, Edna Solberg.
